Do Invest
Invest in the greater good by investing in DOcurious, the first-of-its-kind challenge platform that fosters emotional, social and cognitive growth among people of all ages. We're part of the frontline, not the sidelines. Join us!
Our Purpose
We believe thriving starts with doing. And we exist to fight the loneliness, boredom, and mental health crisis caused by excessive screen use by inspiring people to live better offline. We connect people by replacing passive screen time with goal-oriented, real-life experiences that help them (re)discover confidence, connection, purpose, and pride in themselves.
How We Help
DOcurious is a new type of marketplace offering goal-oriented activities, based on the principles of positive psychology, that help people increase their sense of belonging, accomplishment, and happiness while helping them learn new skills that will last a lifetime. Those skills apply in school, at home, in communities and in social circles. The DOCurious roster of activities has been curated based on the science of improving autonomy, competence, and relatedness in our users. Our founders include both medical doctors and experts in human psychology. .
Who We Help
The problem DOcurious solves impacts all people in all walks of life and social strata, but particularly young people. It’s in the news every day, and it probably happens in your own home: people worldwide are spending too much time on their devices, and it’s taking its toll on their mental health. Excessive screen time is a major contributor to loneliness, lack of self-esteem, and depression and those impacts cascade into other ill-effects.
The $40B Problem We’re Tackling
The mental impacts of screen-related loneliness, lack of self-esteem and depression also have financial impacts for young people, their families, schools, communities and society. For example, according to Contemporary Pediatrics, medical pediatric mental spending for children with mental health conditions increased 31% from 2017-2021. Spending on pediatric mental health conditions reached $31 billion in 2021. This spending has continued to increase by an astonishing 33% in just five years to an estimated $41B in 2026. That same study estimated that 9 million children have a mental health condition that impacts 34 million family members (about 10% of all people in the US).
Target Audiences & Partners
DOcurious addresses the problems caused by overscreening through offering our innovative activity marketplace and related services to key customer sets, such as schools, parents and adults. Schools spend over $20B annually on extracurricular activities, and families spend up to $1,000 per child each year on extracurricular activities. The adult activity market in the US is $200B annually. Sponsors and affiliates richen the variety of challenges we offer; those companies and organizations benefit from creating positive brand equity that connects with target audiences.
Schools and organizations to help improve students’ lives (many of which seek cost-effective ways to boost curriculums), to improve community relations, for fundraising and to bolster their image and brand.
Parents and guardians that may buy DOcurious activities for their own children.
People that buy DOcurious activities as gifts for others.
Companies and organizations that sponsor activities (i.e., an outdoor gear company that sponsors a hiking activity) for social image and revenue-generating reasons.
Affiliate companies that market their goods through the marketplace (DOers buy something–like a model kit–from one of these companies as part of an activity and DOcurious is compensated).

Still have questions? You’ll find your answers here.

What ages is DoCurious suitable for?

DoCurious offers challenges for kids of all ages — from toddlers doing activities with parents to independent teens. You can select age-appropriate challenges during account setup.

Is DoCurious safe for my child to use?

Yes. DoCurious prioritizes safety. Kids can only interact with people in private groups you approve — like family members, classmates, or trusted friends. There’s no public chat or access to strangers.

Do I need to supervise my child during challenges?

Some challenges are designed for independent play, while others are better with light supervision or family involvement — especially for younger children. Each challenge includes a difficulty level and safety notes.

What kinds of challenges are available?

Activities range from outdoor adventures and art projects to problem-solving games. They’re designed to build confidence, curiosity, and joy — without relying on screens.

How does the points system work?

Kids earn points by completing challenges, collaborating with others, or sharing their accomplishments. Points can unlock badges, trophies, and family or group rewards you choose.

Can siblings or the whole family participate together?

Definitely! Families can take on group challenges, compete on teams, or simply track progress together. It’s a great way to reconnect and create lasting memories.

Do challenges require any special materials?

Many activities use items commonly found at home. If a challenge requires materials (like baking supplies or art tools), you’ll either see a list in advance so you can plan ahead or there will be an opportunity to purchase a challenge kit.

Will my child still want to do this if they’re obsessed with video games?

Yes! We’ve modeled DoCurious challenges on what makes video games addictive — quests, points, achievements, teamwork — but transferred those features into the real world. Kids enjoy it because it feels familiar, fun, and rewarding.

Can I track my child’s progress?

Yes. As the parent account holder, you can view completed challenges, earned rewards, and time spent on activities. You can also set custom goals or screen-free incentives.

Does DoCurious collect personal data from kids?

No. We only collect minimal information necessary to support challenge tracking and safety. We’re fully compliant with COPPA and committed to protecting your child’s privacy.

Is it really screen-free if you’re choosing and tracking challenges online?

Good question! While DOers browse and log challenges online, the activities themselves take place in the real world — away from devices. We design everything to minimize screen use, not reinforce it.

How much time do challenges take?

You’ll find options that range from 10-minute challenges to multi-day adventures. And, you can filter by difficulty level.

How much does DoCurious cost?

DoCurious is free to join, and many challenges are completely free to complete. Optional paid bundles or partner experiences may be available, but you’re never required to pay to participate.
